BACKGROUND: I grew up playing sports and was always active. Because of my genetics, broad shoulders and athletically built legs and glutes, I always felt like the “giant” in my group of friends. I was curvy. I had a horrible habit of always comparing myself to others. “I’m not that skinny.” “I don’t wear a size small shirt.” “Why is my right quad the size of both of her legs put together?”. This created a complex and I never really felt comfortable in my own skin. I started working out in the gym, consistently, in High School. It was then, I started to feel more comfortable in my own skin—When I realized that I wasn’t cursed with curves, that I was blessed.

After I graduated, I continued to stay active in the gym but I did not know enough about nutrition to effectively change my diet to see a drastic change.

PREGNANCY- I became pregnant with my daughter in 2012. I went to the gym here and there and most definitely used the “Im eating for 2” excuse. Pregnancy was a difficult phase in my life because of the weight gain. Yes, I know, I know- It’s a miracle and the most amazing thing in the world—But it was still difficult.

I expected the weight to come off the day she was born. Mommas! You know THAT DOESN’T HAPPEN! I became slightly depressed. I tried multiple diets I found online, home workout DVD’s, weight loss supplements and NOTHING was working.  I got so tired of what I was seeing in the mirror and decided to commit and make a change!

TRANSFORMATION- I began the NASM personal training course and was totally in awe of everything I didn’t know! The light bulb came on and I knew I was hooked. The science behind fitness and nutrition truly fascinated me. After I completed the course, instead of hopping into a big gym and taking the health of other peoples’ life into my hands, right away- I hired a trainer to show me the ropes and help with my personal transformation.

That’s when the competition prep started. In just 4 short months, I made the most amazing transformation I had ever experienced. I had no idea that my body was capable of looking that way, POST BABY! I could not have forgone those changes without the wisdom and help from my coach.

(YES! A personal trainer with a trainer!) He’s still my mentor and helps me help other people (because you can’t learn it all from a book and taking a test).

I placed top 2 in my class which qualified me for a National Show. I have done a few shows after March 2015 and will continue to compete to hold myself accountable and to push my body to new levels.

After competing- I realized that I was ready to help other people and give them the satisfaction of reaching their goals and transforming lives!

I trained in a small gyms studio where I was able to gain experience and assist people in learning how to properly train with equipment, but it was there I realized that a lot of my clients had the hardest time with Nutrition and diet. And without nutrition and diet, there won’ t be major changes.

I currently work in a Chiropractic Office in Tempe, Arizona where I offer in-office Nutrition consults, accountability check ins, meal plans etc. I also offer customized workout plans.

I am an advocate in lifestyle changes. Not a Diet. Not a Fad. Real Results for Real Life. Everyone deserves to be happy and comfortable in their own skin. It’s all about how bad you want it and what you’re willing to sacrifice to get there.
